Ruby: It's a fun comic, from what I've read so far, but it's very Dinosaur Comics-like - cut and pasta, three characters, etc.
zzz: Wish you'd update more often.
kamiechev: ohhhh~ so beautiful how you draw birds
Scratch Fury: Ironically, Birdsworth's last line in yesterday's comic (2007-04-30) is a line from another song... "A Good Idea At The Time", by OK Go :)

Robin Z: Hey, here's a hook for you: Birdsworth becomes panicked or obsessed with eradicating logical fallacies from his thought!
mr. sk: i am a serial killer
Person Man: Unless his color powers extend beyond the visible range...
TigerMan: Hey, i really love this comic.. Tis totally AWESOME!! keep up the good work
Scratch Fury: Oh wow, I was cracking up at panel 3, perhaps because I got the inside joke all too well! And dude, TSO's not bad, but seriously, it just doesn't get any rockinger than the Steamroller. It just doesn't, sorry :-)
Gilead: And DreY is the winner! Way to find the connection with both romantic poets and weird food. Nicely done. Nicely done indeed.
DreY: Burns Suppers are celebrated on January 25th to commemorate Robert Burns, a romantic poet. (I am sure that Birdsworth likes him!) In any case, it relates to weird food week since the dining experience features Haggis: definitely a weird food!
Gilead: That sounds cool, but that's not the reason. That show doesn't sound like it's about weird food, just food challenges.
Scratch Fury: Mr. Pellaeon, it would appear that you limit the length of the URLs in your website field, so the link in my last post doesn't work... For the actual link, try this one: http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/food-network-premiere-new-dinner-impossible-series-january-24-4529.php
Scratch Fury: I'm gonna guess this is weird food week because the show Dinner: Impossible is premiering on the Food Network this Wednesday. Click my name to see an article about it. Even if that's not the reason, the show looks pretty interesting, I might have to check it out!
Rosy_Crystal: This last panel (1/6) is just...flawless. Can't stop laughing. I should enframe it XD.
Scratch Fury: Yay! Birdsworth is finally back! He has been sorely missed, you can be sure :)
Corinne: "He is full of crochet!" Bwah! Nicely done, sir.
The part of my brain responsible for my history degree also loves the TR t-shirts, but is too strapped to afford one at present.
dreY: Chapman, Chappy, Chirpy....
No wonder He goes by Birdsworth
qdot: NOT boring for international audience!
Anonymous: to lazy to read it, boring for international audience
DreY: congrats on 100 Birdsworth!
Scratch Fury: Oooh... pretty colors... I do think the separate colors make it clearer who is speaking, which can be difficult to tell sometimes in the absence of word balloons. And I just noticed that the dialogue color corresponds to the bird coloring... nicely done!
Corinne: Panel one is cracking me up today! Nicely done.
I also like the new sky in this bakground.
Sili: Having now figured out how to use the shoutbox, let me just say that I like the layout (I liked the first iteration too, though).

As for sweeteners, that is pretty much how they were found. I may try to dig up a link, but supposedly the sweetness of saccharin was discovered by a coworker who didn't wash his hands.

Old joke: How do you spot a chemist? -- They wash their hands *before* going to the toilet.
Gil: Whoops, lost some posts when some spambots went crazy and pushed all the old posts out of the queue (I only save the last fifty). Reloading from backup didn't have the most recent posts. Sorry!
Gil: Curses that one spambot still got through! Hopefully it's not a trend. Thanks for the encouragement, though. I think sometimes you just spend so much time staring at the graphics as you code the site that you get sick of them.
Kneefers: Hehehe... It's preeeeeetty. Good job, Gil. I like it. It really gives it more of a casual feel. I especially like the font for the title and browsing buttons. It kinda looks like someone scratched them on a tree, which is a cool effect.

grant: I like the new design so much better. The tree looks pretty good, so don't be too hard on yourself about your numbchuck . . . er. . . I mean drawing skills.
Corinne: I don't know if it's coincidental or if it inspired this week's topic, but there's a case of "Stockholm Syndrome" from Austria that's taken over the news recently.
Lao Kaa: I would like to wish you much luck. And a lot of money. Thank you.
Corinne: I guess I know where to come next time I find myself in the market for some cialis.
Seriously, though, the psychology nerd in me is really looking forward to this run of strips.
Leovitz Frevetz: Very many thanks for a good work. Nice and useful. Like it!
Gil: Seems some bots have figured out how to post on my shoutbox, which is of mild interest to me because I coded the thing from scratch so they somehow figured out my own personal obtuse code. In any case, I'll try to keep the spam deleted and work on a way to stop those crazy spammers.
grant: I really liked the Village, but I think I was the only one who did.
Gil: Nah, wait for it to hit video.
Corinne: Y'know, I decided to wait for Lady in the Water to hit video because of how aggravated/disapppointed I was by the Village. Should I rethink that? Was it really that good?
grant: I had no idea that my refusal to spend 7 bucks on bad movie would affect the fate of Birdsworth. I did watch the Village last night instead.
Scratch Fury: Sorry to double-post, but if you've seen Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (or just read Gil's spoilers), then you should definitely go visit the Ninja Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. It's definitely worth your time. Click on my name to see it.
Scratch Fury: Dude, Lois Lane wasn't married to Cyclops. Remember, they were living together, but she couldn't seem to commit? I believe it was Jimmy Olsen who pointed that out
Robin Z: Okay, I'm with Birdsworth on this one. Analyse _everything!_
DreY: Euphemisms for obscenity or profanity are flawed if one’s goal is to avoid foul language.
The connection to the original word is usually intact, therefore you still splatter yourself
and your listener with mud. For example, use of the word “frick” does not even fool a
child. Why can’t a person be emphatic without associations to bodily functions, sex, or
the divine?
Sili: "Jubblies" as in e.g. "Lubly Jubblies."
In toilet: valium - Buy valium online http://valium2.max.st
Robin Z: ...Jubblies?!
Gil: D'oh!
Sili: #64: For shame. It's "Non sequit*u*r"
Gil: Hey, I need a new logo for Birdsworth! If anyone is interested in making one, I'd be very happy. The only conditions are that it be simple, able to be reduced to small size and still readable, and it must say "Birdsworth". I'm dropping the comics part.

If you make it for me, I'd be happy to hit you back with whatever favor you like!
Scratch Fury: Hey, ya still got yourself a PG rating over at Comic Nation! They'll catch up to you some day :)

Oh, and I concur with Packbat's agreement with Bywren (July 10). Birdsworth's mind is a scary, scary place. Much like sausage and laws, we probably don't want to know much about the process by which his thoughts are created...
Packbat: I'm with Bywren on this one (July 10).
